About our Restaurant

Here you will eat food based on what we harvest in Vejroe’s nature. This begins with the farmers, gardeners and chefs whose job is to do as little as possible, so that the island’s raw materials shine through. We explore, play and experiment with the food, but never with the authentic culinary food experience. We cook as naturally and honestly as possible so you are never in doubt what is presented to you on your plate.

Our desire is to give our guests the best experience so they leave Vejroe with big smiles and become ambassadors sharing their experiences with their friends and colleagues helping to make Vejroe a must-visit destination.

The taste of Vejroe

When you eat at our restaurant, you know where your food comes from.

In its pure and most honest form, Farm to table means the table you are eating at is located at the farm or field where the food was produced without going through a market, store or other distributor along the way. We are very proud to deliver an authentic Farm to table experience for you at Restaurant Skipperly.

We use seasonal, organic, locally grown vegetables, fruits and herbs from the Vejroe greenhouses, outdoor fields, orchards and herb garden. Our chefs also forage the island in the forest and beaches for naturally growing, edible plants and berries that are incorporated into the dishes and make the experience more authentic. Our selection of meats and poultry is as often as possible, born, raised and prepared for the kitchen without ever leaving Vejroe.

Opening hours 

Restaurant Skipperly is open Wednesday-Sunday in high season for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Out of season, Skipperly is the culinary center for our conferences, team building, getaways, group hunts, private parties and yoga retreats.

In the indoor dining room, we can seat up to 60 guests at smaller tables. At the long tables on the 1st floor we can seat up to approx. 30 guests.

In the summer months, when the sun is shining, we enjoy outdoor dining on the terrace.

You may also enjoy a very well-stocked wine cellar, which will make your meal even more memorable for those with a passion for wine.
