The kitchen is guided by the seasons and creates flavors rooted in the island: vegetables from our own fields, meat from free-range animals, and fish from sustainable catches.
In our restaurants, you will encounter a down-to-earth tranquility, where presence and simplicity are allowed to shape the experience.

We grow our own vegetables, gather herbs, and hunt for seasonal game. Everything is created with respect for the season, the ingredients, and simple craftsmanship. At Restaurant JORD, it is the rhythm of nature that determines the flavor. That is why the menu changes continuously depending on what is ripe in the greenhouses.

JORD serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner—all created according to Vejrø's farm-to-table philosophy.

The Harbor Café

The Harbor Café is Vejrø Marina's cozy gathering place – a relaxed café where you can enjoy light meals that are best enjoyed outdoors when the sun is high. Here we serve crisp salads, cold draft beer, and other small homemade delicacies. Always made with ingredients produced by Vejrø itself. From farm to table.

If you have any questions about our restaurants, we have compiled the most frequently asked questions below so that you can find the answers before contacting us.

  • What is special about the food on Vejrø?

    At Vejrø, we work according to an uncompromising farm-to-table principle. All vegetables, meat, and many of the herbs come from the island's own production. We combine fresh seasonal ingredients with preserved delicacies from previous harvest seasons – through fermentation, drying, and pickling. This creates a natural, sustainable, and sensory dining experience.

  • What is the Soil & Sea menu?

    “Soil & Sea” is JORD’s signature menu: a culinary journey through the island’s landscape and coastline. The menu consists of up to 15 courses featuring seasonal vegetables, game, fish, and shellfish, accompanied by snacks and appetizers. It is for those who want the full Vejrø experience in one dinner.

  • Can you eat at JORD without staying on the island?

    As a general rule, we recommend that you book accommodation if you want to eat at JORD. We do not have fixed sailing times back from the island, so day trips with dinner require that you have your own boat or plane. When you book accommodation, a table is automatically reserved at the JORD restaurant.

  • Are there vegetarian or allergy-friendly menus?

    Yes – we take allergies and dietary preferences into account, as long as we are notified in advance. JORD's kitchen has a special focus on vegetables and can create fully vegetarian menus with the same level of flavor and creativity.

  • When are the restaurants open?

    JORD:
    • Breakfast: 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. (advance booking required by 4:00 p.m. the day before)
    • Lunch: 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
    • Dinner: 6:00 p.m. – midnight

    Havnecaféen (seasonal):
    • Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
    • Lunch: 11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
    • Dinner: 5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

  • Can children eat at Restaurant JORD?

    We do not recommend JORD for children under the age of 10, as the experience is long and requires calm and attention. Children are very welcome in our cozy harbor café at Vejrø marina.

  • What can you get at Havnecaféen?

    At Havnecaféen, you can enjoy light meals, cold drinks, ice cream, and coffee, as well as buy breakfast and products from our farm shop. Open daily during the summer season from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

  • Do I need to make a reservation?

    Yes. JORD and Havnecaféen are popular – and we recommend booking well in advance, both for dinner and lunch. When you book a stay, table reservations are included.

  • Can you host private events?
