Box breathing is a simple breathing technique for creating mental clarity. The method is used by everyone from athletes to mindfulness practitioners, and you can easily get started yourself.
How to perform box breathing
Breathe in for 4 seconds → Hold for 4 seconds → Breathe out for 4 seconds → Hold again for 4 seconds.
Repeat 4–8 times. The even structure calms the nervous system and helps the body return to a state of balance.
